Narrative vs Filings
Separate the story circulating on X from what the company actually filed.

What to check
- Find the claim's number in the 10-K or annual report.
- Check the date: is the news already priced, or stale?
- Ask who benefits from the narrative spreading.
The trap
A loud thesis on the timeline is not evidence. The filing is.
Rule of thumb
If a claim is not in a filing, treat it as opinion, not fact.
How to apply
- 1Write the claim down.
- 2Locate it in primary sources.
- 3Label it: provable or narrative.
