For a pre-revenue, capital-intensive name like AST SpaceMobile, that means learning how the satellites, spectrum rights, MNO partnerships and financing actually fit together. The standards organization behind mobile technologies such as LTE and 5G. 3GPP also defines how non-terrestrial networks connect to mobile devices and core networks. A 3GPP specification provides a technical framework, not proof of any vendor's commercial performance.

Bandwidth is the frequency range available to carry a signal, measured in hertz. Channel bandwidth is the width assigned to one radio channel. Intermittent coverage exists only while a suitable satellite is visible over an area.
